 Whangaroa's good fishing is legendary. Kahawai, Snapper and John Dory can be caught from the back door of the boat. Cockles, pipis and oysters can be gathered at low tide. Row ashore and spend some time exploring and easily return to your home on the water.


The Maple Leaf houseboat is surveyed as bare boat charter/hire and drive, within the limits of Whangaroa Harbour. The Coastguard day-skippers course is ideal, or previous marine experience is recommended. On boarding, a full safety and operating briefing ensures you are safe and comfortable.
